What Is Panic?

Panic is a sudden and intense episode of fear that occurs without warning, leaving the person unable to control various parts of their body. It may last a few minutes or several hours. Then, practice meditation: relax, inhale through your nose for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 2 seconds, then exhale for 6 seconds. Think about something you love. Panic is one of the most treatable anxiety disorders. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is effective, and in recurring cases, you should consult a doctor for appropriate treatment and medication.

Preventing Panic Attacks

While there is no guaranteed way to prevent panic attacks, the following tips can help reduce their intensity:
